Early life

She was born on 25th August 1978 in Empangeni, South Africa. This would put Celeste Ntuli age at 40 years. She was one of eight children in her family. Celeste Ntuli siblings consist of four brothers and three sisters. She said that at a young age, to get attention at home, she had to be louder and funnier than everyone else, and it seems to have worked.

Career path

Celeste Ntuli comedy career has been around for a long time. When speaking about her influences, she said:

I fell in love with stand-up the first time I watched Richard Pryor. And when I watched the Kings of Comedy with Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey, I said to myself: “Well, I can do that.” I have always loved to talk and I love to laugh.

She performed her first stand-up gig at a church in 2005. Later that year, she was offered her first professional gig by Monwabisi Grootboom of 99% Zulu Comedy Show. In 2009 she became a finalist on season 2 of SABC 1’s So You Think You’re Funny competition. A year later, she began pursuing comedy professionally, and went on to become the first comedienne to record a one-woman show DVD entitled Seriously, Celeste.

She also does some acting. She has had several successful seasons as one of the Isibaya actresses where she plays Siphokazi. Celeste Ntuli movie portfolio includes the widely popular 2018 film Looking for Love, where she had the lead role as Buyi, the single, childless and nearly 40-year-old.

Personal life

She talked in the past about relationships, and recently went viral with a rant posted to YouTube about the subject. But, just like the character she plays on Looking for Love, she is single.
