Mzansi rapper, Kwesta, has achieved another great milestone in his music career, his latest album, Dakar II has reached diamond status.

The rapper has grown his music brand for the past 10 years, becoming one of SA’s biggest hip hop artists.

He recently revealed that his last album, Dakar II has now sold more than 310 000 album copies since its release. This is the most any local artiste has sold in the history of SA Hip Hop, setting a new record in the music industry.

Kwesta reached diamond status for the album, which is the first album from Mzansi to reach this level. Several singles like, Ngiyazfela and Ngud’, from the project helped him get to this level.

About two weeks ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Kwesta was teasing fans the whole week with a new release and finally dropped it - much to their pleasure.

The SA rapper has gotten the American rapper Rich Homie Quan to collab with him and the track is absolute flames, according to the reaction on social media.
