Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula made headlines this past year for more than just the work he is doing to make SA's roads safe again.

Mbaks - or Mr Fix, as his Twitter handle claims - had South Africans laughing out loud on several occasions when he dubbed himself Mzansi's "crush".

Briefly.co.za took a look at three times Mbaks got all flirty on social media.

1. Mbalula is your mother's crush - according to him

Earlier this month, Mbalula took to Twitter to post a snap of himself dripping with swag as he sported a black and gold shirt with a pair of shades.

Mbaweezy cheekily captioned the post: "Nayi le crush yho mama benu" - which translated means "Your mother's crush is here" - and it went viral.

2. Upgrade from "your mom's" crush to Mzansi's "number one" crush

Mbalula was not satisfied with just being all the mothers' crush, he wanted more. So, he upgraded himself to Mzansi's number one crush.

The post once again sparked a massive reaction and many wanted to know if Mbaks was delusional.

3. Told you so!

Mbalula had an 'I told you so' moment when he posted a lighthearted video on Twitter on Monday. Mbaweezy shared a clip of ladies going wild for him and captioned it:

"I told y’all, look at them unable to can."
