The Glamour Boys have now officially become active during the January window as well as they announced the departure of Kabelo Mahlasela.

The diminutive midfielder endured a dismal two-year spell following his move from Bloemfontein Celtic.

KickOFF.com reported that Mahlasela is unlikely to return to Naturena as Chiefs aren't looking to exercise their one-year extension option.

In a statement, Club manager Bobby Motaung said, “Kabelo remains a talented player and we wish him all of the best with City for the next five months.”

While Chiefs are trimming their squad, Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly in search of more firepower.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that coach Pitso Mosimane is keen to add Knowledge Musona to his squad.
