Johannesburg is experiencing heavy rain and flooding in certain places, putting a damper on everyone's weekend plans.

Briefly.co.za reported that low lying areas have been affected the worst as strong winds and heavy rains continue to flood the area. Riverbanks risk bursting with the amount of rain that is falling. One of the reasons the flooding is so bad is that the concrete buildings and roads in the area do not allow the water to drain into the ground and instead runs in large streams through the city.

One brave Range Rover owner was met with raging water and figured: why not? They pushed through the angry rapids but were eventually forced to abandon both their ride and their dignity.

Many questioned why anyone would even try to cross the road in conditions such as this, with others saying it was karma for the bad decision.

30cm of water is enough to sweep even a heavy taxi bus away, so this motorist was definitely taking unnecessary chances.

So, instead of venturing out into the chaos outside cuddle up and have a laugh at the responses to the viral footage of the incident.

We sure hope his insurance company doesn't spot this.
