Burna Boy receives gold for ‘On The Low’, which broke French records

The entertainment industry is a platform for numerous talented people but it also rewards those who combine hard work with their gifts.

Nigerian music star, Burna Boy, is no doubt one of the top stars who has helped put Africa's music on the world map.

From being nominated for a Grammy award to winning a BET award, Burna Boy has been able to take big strides in the industry and his steps have been felt.

Burna is obviously not one to rest on his laurels and his hard work, together with that of his team, has been working very well for him. Just recently, the Ye crooner took to social media via his Instagram page to share another of his achievements with fans.

The singer revealed that one of his songs, On The Low, went gold in France. The Grammy-nominated star added that the song was able to achieve that feat despite not being pushed or promoted.

Burna also thanked all his fans who streamed the track over 15 million times and made it go gold.

He wrote: “ 'On The Low' went gold in France without any radio push or promo. Love every single one of you that streamed it over 15m times, it’s still.”

In other news, Burna Boy is said to be the first Nigerian artist to sell out arenas in Paris, Lyon and Marseille.

Just recently, a fan of the African giant took to social media via his Twitter page to claim that Burna Boy was the first Nigerian artist to sell out arenas in Lyon and Paris.

The Twitter user, Gabriel, said that Burna sold out 16 000-capacity arenas in Paris and Lyon on two different occasions.
