- He accidentally said 'vibrators' instead of 'ventilators'

Yesterday, Jackson Mthembu shocked the nation. Not with any statistics or breaking news but with a slip of the tongue.

During a press briefing, he mistakenly called ventilators, vibrators. He corrected himself later during the briefing but Mzansi was shook.

Breifly.co.za learned that his live gaff went viral with many social media users poking fun at the incident.

"Yesterday night during a @newsroomafrica interview by @JJTabane , I mistakenly referred to #Ventilators as #Vibrators , whilst I did correct this during the same interview , I once again tender my unreserved apology for the slip."

Social media users didn't hold back, but they were good-natured in their ridicule.
