Gomora was only on screens for a few weeks and it already did the most in terms of viewership.

The new telenovela quickly managed to surpass The Queen to become DStv's most watched soapie.

Gomora stars some of Mzansi's greatest acting talents, including Katlego Danke and Zolisa Xaluva.

It also counts none other than Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, as a fan.

Unfortunately, the much-loved show has had to be taken off air due to running out of episodes.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, it isn't clear when production will begin again.

Fans are up in arms and definitely missing their daily fix.

One tweep wrote, "I really miss Gomora. There was no dull moment. I can't wait for it to continue. The script was relevant. I learnt that (one should) always be humble and never look down on others. Life doesn't have a manual. It can't be predicted."

Last week, Briefly.co.za reported that The Queen will also be airing its last episode tomorrow due to the ongoing lockdown.

The production has come under fire several times this year for its shoddy scripting and constantly frivolously getting rid of key characters.

The Fergusons tried to explain that it's all part of showbiz, but it appears fans didn't buy it.

Only time will tell how much longer it will remain on screens post-lockdown.
