Pearl Thusi has taken to social media to respond to tweeps after she was dragged for recently defending foreign nationals.

The stunner trended on Sunday evening after she said she would not support any movement that aimed at ridding South Africa of foreign nationals.

As a result, the hashtag #PearlThusiMustFall trended with most tweeps taking shots at the Queen Sono actress.

Briefly.co.za reported that it was not clear what prompted the tweet, but Pearl said:

"Killing African nationals that reside in South Africa is something I will never defend. Defending borders drawn by colonisers will never be something I limit myself with."

Mzansi peeps flooded her comment section and dragged her.

Pearl has responded by sharing her "morning reading" on Monday. She quoted a verse from the Bible.

"Good morning. Thought I’d share my morning reading... 'But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.' Psalms 63:9-10 KJV"

The star has also tweeted that she is not planning to fall any time soon.

"I’m clearly not planning to fall so please redirect your efforts to #JUSTICEFORNALEDI."

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Pearl was on a mission to organise a peaceful protest against police brutality and racism.

She took to social media to ask Mzansi for help in putting together the protest march as she had never organised one before.
