Guy says girlfriend broke up with him because he wouldn't give R380

- A disappointed man has recounted how his girlfriend broke up with him because he didn't send her R380 for nNw Year's celebrations

- According to the young man with the Twitter handle @OluwaStunna_YSL, he was going to propose to the lady before she left him

A man with the Twitter handle @OluwaStunna_YSL has taken to the social media platform to announce that his girlfriend, whom he wanted to propose to in 2021, broke up with him because of R380.

The young man said the lady asked for the money for New Year celebrations but he refused to send it to her. In his words:

"My girlfriend I wanted to propose to this year just broke up with me cos she asked me for money for her to flex on January 1st and I didn't send her. Wow! Seriously just wow!!"

This got tweeps talking on the social media platform and while some lambasted the young man for his inability to send R380 to his girlfriend, others slammed the lady for being materialistic.

The young lady with Twitter handle @SalmerhUmar said she cannot hide her feelings any more. Salmerh shared two pictures of herself on the microblogging site to let people know how beautiful she is.
