Bonang Matheba and Thuso Mbedu have received nominations from the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards in the USA. A number of other South African celebrities have received nods and there's girl power in the air as Zozibini Tunzi also received a nomination.
Thuso Mbedu has been nominated in the category for the Favourite African Star alongside Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi.
Bonang Matheba, on the other hand, is in the running for the Favourite African Social Media Star category. The nominations come as a piece of good news to South Africans as the country continues to fight against Covid-19.
Thuso Mbedu has been killing it on the acting scene and starred in a number of Mzansi productions before she spread her wings, going international.
She has also been nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in the telenovela Is'Thunzi. Thuso has been awarded a SAFTA as the Best Actress in a TV Drama.
Bonang is a social media icon and always serves looks on her pages. Queen B makes luxury look like a lifestyle and has cemented herself as one of the best media personalities in the country.
