Ntsiki Mazwai: Poet to help Soweto girls with sanitary pads

Ntsiki Mazwai has decided to use her influence to help others. The poet wants to launch a campaign to distribute sanitary pads to girls in the township of Soweto.

Taking to social media, Mazwai asked her followers to help her find sanitary pads at wholesale prices so that she could purchase them for distribution.

She said:

“Guys where can I get sanitary pads at wholesale prices??? I wanna do Girl Hygiene Packs for young ladies in Soweto...”

The responses to her post were posted and some even suggested that she make it a pad drive.

Lerato Kganyago even offered to donate her range of sanitary pads for free. She said:

“I can have them delivered to you by friend, at no cost. Soweto is my home, I would love to contribute.”

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that it seems Ntsiki Mazwai is enjoying her new look and the attention she has been getting.

The media personality, who has always been an advocate of going natural, has embraced make up, photo filters and artificial hair.

Although not wearing weaves just yet, Ntsiki has been sporting dark blonde braids and wearing more make up.

Social media users showered her with compliments, while some expressed concern at how the filters made her look noticeably lighter.

Briefly.co.za had previously reported that Ntsiki Mazwai is always on the receiving end of comments about being dirty and not bathing.

The media personality has taken it in her stride and recently joked about it on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Ntsiki posted 2 selfies looking all pretty with some make up on and captioned it:

“Akere bathing is weave, makeup and filters. Guys you win. I bathed!!!”

Her post sparked a lot of reactions online and it was clear that many liked it as it received over 2000 acknowledgements on the social media platform.
