Mzansi actress Thuso Mbedu is trending on social media after the trailer for her latest project. Thuso is starring in a web series titled The Underground Railroad. The series is based on slavery in the 1800s.
The series will be airing on Amazon Video from 4 May 2021. Thuso has been working overtime and has even bagged herself a Nickolodeon Kids' Choice Award nomination for her efforts in the business.
Mzansi social media users are proud of Thuso and how far she's come in her career. The South African actress has even won a SAFTA and she's received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance in Is'Thunzi.
The Underground Railroad is highly-anticipated as it is headed by Oscar award-winning director Barry Jenkins.

The stand-up comedian took to social media recently to reveal that his one-man show Unlearning will make its debut on Netflix on 23 March. The Mzansi-born star revealed that his show will be Netflix's first African stand up original.
The excited funny man shared a snippet of the show on Instagram on Monday, 22 February. He captioned his post:
"Happy and humbled to announce that my Netflix special Unlearning is coming out 23 March. It will be Netflix's first Africa’s Stand Up Original. @netflixsa @netflixisajoke OH WHAT A FEELING!"
