1 'Uzalo' Drops Veteran Actor Jet Novuka, Who Plays Captain Mpambani

Uzalo has dropped veteran actor Jet Novuka. The star plays the role of Captain Yamkela Mpambani on the SABC 1 show.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela's The Entertainment Alert (tea), Novuka has been written off the show. He only joined Uzalo in July 2020.

Phil reports that his sources revealed that the most-watched Mzansi TV show is making a few changes due to viewers' complaints about its weak storyline. However, the show remains the number one show in Mzansi with 8 million viewers on average per episode.

Twitter was buzzing about another episode on Skeem Saam when Meike Maputla (Harriet Manamela) gave Mary Matloga (Motshabi Tyelele) a slap in this weeks episode of Skeem Saam.

South Africans could relate to Mary and some of them compared Meike to their mothers, one saying they are in the same WhatsApp group.

Tweeps took the opportunity to praise Harriet Manamela's acting ability, she has been one of the standout characters in the series.

It all started after on local tweep tweeted about adding Nando's peri-peri sauce to his Chicken Licken meal. This obviously did not sit well with Nando's who subsequently tweeted the following response:

"It’s ok to stop tweeting after ‘peri peri sauce’. Tlogela dinto tse snaaks," wrote Nando's who also included an hilarious meme to reassert their feelings clearly.
