Everyshop: New Online Store to Compete with the Likes of Takealot

The JD Group has launched Everyshop, an online shopping platform in South Africa. The new online platform will offer an array of global brands ranging from tech and appliances to fashion to beauty.

The JD Group owns other well-known brands in the country such as HiFi Corp and Incredible Connection. The website has 14 different shopping options with a range of items and free delivery after a certain amount of money is spent.

Since the website has been live, South Africans have been sharing their thoughts about the Takealot competitor.

BusinessInsider wrote that Everyshop will use its national network of 16 different distribution centres as well as its own delivery systems. A report by BusinessTech stated that many of JD's groups offer finance solutions due to the costly items that are available.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts about the new platform, South Africans had this to say:

"They will eventually expand their catalogue to that of Takealot. I don't think Perpkor stores are doing so well nowadays, I think they are about to shift to e-commerce overall, probably not overall but I think they might invest a lot in their e-commerce more than they do."
