South Africa Brought to Tears with Latest Episode of Abandoned on Mzansi Magic

There wasn't a dry eye to be seen as Mzansi was brought to tears with the latest episode of Abandoned on Mzansi Magic.

Phumeza Mdabe couldn't keep her composure either as she heard the tragic story of how Xolani Madiba was abandoned at a Johannesburg hospital 22 years ago. Xolani ended up in prison after living on the streets.

The premise of the show is that Mdabe helps reunite people who were abandoned as children.

Tragically this time Xolani's mom had passed on but he was reunited with his family which was such a moving moment.

"#AbandonedMzansi Xolani’s journey has left me broken."

However, they are waiting for DNA results to confirm if Xolani belongs to the second family they spoke to on the show.

"We have to wait till we have access to him to take fresh DNA and confirm if he really belongs to the second family we spoke to. #AbandonedMzansi."

Mdabe said that they would follow Xolani's story until it reaches a conclusion.

"We’ll definitely follow up till the end and Xolani is re-united with his familyWoman bowing deeply #AbandonedMzansi."

Mzansi took to Twitter to share their reactions to the heartbreaking episode using the hashtag #AnandonedMzansi:

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi actress Cindy Mahlangu has closed off her final performance in the soapie Scandal and she has spoken about leaving the show on a good note. Last night's episode left viewers with a cliffhanger.

Cindy plays the character of Violetta on the show. Her character is one that viewers love to hate and they would like to see an end to her evil ways.

According to a report by The Sowetan, Violetta's exit from the show will be by the death of her character.
