Moments after US rappers Quavo and Saweetie called it quits, word had it that the latter had to give up a Bentley she received as a gift.
Reports claimed Quavo repossessed the mean machine, stating that he was taking back his “investment.”
But, it is all false.
People on the internet who followed the breakup since Saweetie’s unexpected tweet claimed Quavo translated her message as “take Bentley” instead of “Take care.”
A chain of reactions ensued from the rumour and a large section of internet users said that they too would get petty if their partners left them.
According to TMZ, sources privy to the Workin Me rapper said the 29-year-old had not sent a repo man over to Saweetie’s place as earlier alleged.
The sources further confirmed that there was no proof to show that the allegations were even close to being true. They dared the people spewing the lies to show photos or videos that support the claims.
Saweetie earlier alluded to the fact that Quavo might have stepped out of their relationship.
The Back to The Streets hitmaker posted on Twitter saying she was done being disrespected and had checked out of the relationship months before calling it quits.
She boldly declared she is single.
“I had love for you and I am disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best,” Quavo responded.
In other news, Bronx rapper Cardi B's latest single Up has reached number one on the charts and she couldn't be more thrilled. However, she unfortunately has to defend her success while she's at the top.
On Monday, Cardi B took to Instagram to set the record straight about her music.
"It’s sad that when I win people gotta scramble with lies for my success. Like they ain’t saw everybody, people coming out Amazon trucks and ambulances dancing my s***," said the rapper.
