Briefly News earlier reported on his tragic passing and looked to the internet to share some of the touching posts made in honour of the fallen warrior.

@jperiodBK:

"No one has ever embodied the spirit, raw energy, struggle, contradiction, hope, pain, wisdom, chaos, suffering, angst, passion and pure poetry of Hip Hop quite like DMX.
Rest easy, King."

@joegross:

"DMX made spectacular music and “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot” is an album title that should have made every other artist in any genre, including classical, incredibly jealous."

@charlieputh:

"I do feel like a piece of my childhood was lost today. I remember watching videos of DMX at Woodstock ‘99 and waking up every morning at 6am just so I could catch the music video to Party Up on MTV. There’s a reason why his music still goes OFF today. Timeless. RIP DMX."

@MichaelEDyson:

"The late great #DMX fused raw Black pain, personal suffering, the struggle with his many demons and an incurable quest for Christian salvation and redemption in music and lyrics — and prayers — that toured hell to provide a plan of escape. May his soul Rest In Peace. #RIPDMX."
