AKA's fiancée Nelli Tembe passed away on Sunday and her memorial service was held on Thursday evening in KwaZulu-Natal. Her siblings paid tribute to her and the memorial service was open to the public through Zoom.

Nelli's family and close friends attended the memorial service, AKA was also present. Her siblings spoke at the memorial and were still visibly grief-stricken. Her sister Mbali spoke about how painful it was to see her sister's body.

Mbali put makeup on Nelli because she knew that's what she would've liked but she was heartbroken from the chilling experience.

"What I saw was so painful and I don’t know how I am going to recover from that," she said.

According to a report by TshisaLIVE, Mbali spoke about Nelli's hopes and dreams for the future and is sad that her sister won't get to see her dreams come true.

Nondumiso Tembe is based in the US and is also Nelli's sister. She said the hardest thing for her is having to deal with her sister's death without having her family close to her.

Nondumiso spoke about how spiritual Nelli was and even had a scripture from the Bible on her bio on social media. She remembered how their grandmother would always make them recite verses from the Bible.

Briefly News previously reported that Nelli Tembe wanted to be a luxury restaurant owner. People who knew Nelli Tembe well understood that she had a passion for cooking.

Nelli wanted to be a luxury restaurant owner and after she passed away on Sunday, that dream will not have a chance of materialising.

Nelli attended the Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal for 18 months between 2018 and 2019 before she met AKA. She impressed her teachers and they always knew that she was destined for great things.
