Student Shares Snaps of Hotel That UCT Booked Him Into, Mzansi Reacts

As Cape Town fires continue to rage, many contingency measures are being put into place. A University of Cape Town student recently shared that the institution has booked a number of its students into a hotel for safety purposes.

"UCT decided to book us hotel rooms for extra safety. #capetownfire" he captioned the snaps.

While the fires are a tragedy, a lot of people seemed jealous of the young man and the fact that he was staying in a hotel. Soon many hilarious and very silly comments were made about what other institutions would do if they found themselves in a similar situation.

Briefly News also reported that a raging fire in Cape Town has caused a lot of destruction in the area. Some of the many affected are University of Cape Town students, many of whom belong to the Fuller House student residence. The Gift of the Givers organisation has stepped in to help these students.

Heading online, the organisation shared a touching and heartwarming post about how they have stepped in to provide meals for about 4k students whose student housing was affected by the fires that have plagued the area.
