Barcelona is still in the dark over the future of their captain Lionel Messi whose contract with them expires at the end of this season.

The 33-year-old decided to force a move away from the Catalan club last August but after much consideration, he stayed back at Camp Nou to see out his deal.

However, in the next two months, the Argentine will become a free agent and can negotiate his own future without the interference of his current club.

But the forward seems to be planning something different with reports filtering the media space reveals that Messi has bought a Mansion valued at around £5 million (R100 m)ahead of a possible move to the Major League Soccer soon.

According to Republic World, this is the second landed property the Barcelona legend has acquired in the United States within a couple of years.

Messi was believed to have already splashed a staggering £3.6 million (R72 m) to buy an apartment in Miami’s Porsche Design Tower, which was completed in 2017.

Reports from The Real Deal claim the winger has purchased the entire ninth floor of a luxury apartment in Florida that boasts all the facilities for a millionaire to live in paradise.

The breathtaking property sits on Sunny Isles Beach with beautiful views of the ocean and it is claimed that the four-time UCL winner may have spent a sum of £5 million (R100m) on his latest property..

Additional reports reveal that Messi's new property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 360-degree views and even a 1,000-bottle wine cellar in 511 square metres of indoor space.

As well as his own private pool, Messi and his family have access to six pools in total. There is also a spa, a fitness centre, a yoga studio, a children's playhouse, and a champagne bar.

To top it off, a private chef is on-site for when Messi wants to line his stomach before delving into his wine cellar.
