- Somizi Mhlongo has made it clear that he is not dating anyone until he sees their finacnial records
- He made the statement after a social media user asked him if he wanted to go on a date
- Mzansi social media users were sure that his reaction had everything to do with his crumbling marriage with Mohale
It seems Somizi's previous relationship really burnt him because he is now being a bit more careful about who he allows in his life.
When a social media user asked him if he was interested in going on a date, the media personality's response left him trending online. Somizi responded to the stranger by saying that he wanted a 6 months bank statement, because he doesn't play like that anymore.
Many believed that he was saying that because of his current situation with his estranged husband Mohale.
Although the pair have not officially split, they have not been seen together in months. Somizi has been living his best life with bestie Vusi Nova, while Mohale has immersed himself in work.
Check out some of the reactions from social media users:
"Somizi is still recovering from a heist, I don't blame him."
"Once beaten twice shy.... I respect Mohale. Uncle Somizi says angisadlali, meaning he played it bad last time."
"You really don't like people with takateking bank balance."
"Can we have 6 months bank balance before we date anyone."
"Yah noh we really learn the hard way."
Meanwhile Briefly News previously reported that Somizi recently raised some eyebrows when he said that he would find his next husband in Mthatha. The media personality was on a visit to the area to promote his work. Obviously he enjoyed the reception he received because he revealed that his next hubby would be from that area.
This has obviously left many questioning whether his relationship with Mohale Motaung is still ok. Briefly News has previously reported that Somhale fans all over Mzansi have been wondering if this is the end, and it could well be. Somizi has unfollowed Mohale on both Instagram and Twitter.
This happened after Somizi went to support his best friend Vusi Nova at his Easter gig. Briefly News double-checked Somizi's social media accounts and can confirm that he is no longer following his husband Mohale.
