BI Phakathi is truly an angel on earth. The unknown do-gooder recently shared a heartwarming clip in which he helps out an elderly South African man who was hopelessly begging in the streets for some food.
In the clip, the man can be seen walking aimlessly across the road while BI watches him while sitting in a car. BI then calls the man towards him and asks him what he is looking for, to which the man says he is hungry and wants something to eat. BI then proceeds to give the man cash, which results in the man crying out of gratitude.
"He Made This Old Man to Cry When He Surprised Him, He Was Drifting Not Knowing Where To Get Food Now," the touching clip was captioned.
Moved locals have had this to say:
Landi van Rensburg said:
"Thank you for helping him. As the daughter of a pensioner myself I know what it is like for my father to look into his cupboard and see nothing in there and because I don't have much either, my husband and I share with him and my brother, who is handicapped."
Cindy Runnels said:
"I'm so heart broken knowing there is even one homeless person out there, it's so sad. But this video of course makes us cry. But happy that you helped the man."
Briefly News earlier reported that he is known as a film director and a motivational speaker but his latest video on social media has left Mzansi shaken. BI Phakathi has shared a video on Facebook where he recounts how a homeless man now has a roof on top of his head courtesy of his Good Samaritan's deeds.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based film director is also famous for helping others through bursaries and other needs such as food among others. His latest video has attracted the attention of Briefly News and we collect a few comments from the clip which has amassed more than 1 000 comments by the time we penned this report.
"He followed this man collecting cans from dustbins to buy shelter and this shocked him," he wrote this.
