Watersport hitmaker Cardi B topped social media trends on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, when she defended Tyla following the recent social media bullying about her poor EP sales.

The award-winning rapper showed love to the South African singer after she received criticism from Black Americans on TikTok this past week following her latest EP.

The United States-based musician also showed love to the South African-born artist after she received backlash at the MTV VMAs.

Social media user @tyla_tygrs shared a video on X on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, of Cardi defending the Water hitmaker.

In the video, Cardi says: "Whether I speak, or not, people are going to talk sh*t. Let's look at Tyla. People have been dragging the sh*t out of Tyla, and the girl doesn't even address it or talk about anything.
"What do you want her to f*kn do?" asks the rapper.
