Dr Musa and Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni Celebrate 4th Anniversary With Sweet Posts

Dr Musa and Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni celebrated another milestone in their marriage after hitting the four-year mark on 18 August 2025.

The lovely couple marked another magical year of love, adventures and never-ending public displays of affection, and took to social media to dote on each other with the most touching messages.

Taking to her Instagram page, the former Miss South Africa shared a video montage of her moments with her husband, whom she referred to as her soulmate:

"Soulmated so hard that I want to know you forever because you are so deeply ingrained in me, I wouldn’t even know what to do if I didn’t have you. I love you @drmusamthombeni. Happy Anniversary."

In classic Dr Musa fashion, he used humour to drive his message home:

"To the lady who acts like she’s full so that I can eat the last of the food on her plate. To the lady who eats the crust off my pizza slices. To the lady who owes me R500 that I know I’ll never get back. Marrying you was the best decision I’ve ever made."

Along with their heartfelt messages, the couple also shared glimpses of their anniversary celebration, which included an international vacation. Musa and Liesl jetted off to Hong Kong on 13 August after she left her hubby behind to enjoy Paris with her girl friends; they even got to visit Disney Land.

Flights from Johannesburg to Hong Kong start at R15,000, while those from Cape Town are slightly higher, with the cheapest starting at R17,300.

The Mthombenis were in Cape Town two days before leaving the country, and might have paid around R34,600 to fly to Hong Kong.
