Imagine waiting for your Uber to arrive and your driver cancelling at the last minute, all because you didn't greet them.
This was what happened to Somizi Mhlongo on 24 August 2025 when he apparently forgot his manners.
The veteran actor and TV presenter posted a screenshot of his awkward interaction with an Uber driver, who seemed irritated when Somizi merely texted instructions without greeting him. He said:
"A simple 'Hello' does not take R5 out of your pocket. Manners, please."

It's clear that the driver was unfazed by Somizi's celebrity, and his stern message left the former Idols SA judge feeling mortified:
"Tjo, guys, I’ve just been humbled by the Uber driver and I deserved it, lol. 'Cause I mean, where are my manners? I just texted my unit number without greeting, which is so not like me.
SomGAGA went on to reveal that the driver cancelled his trip. However, after their humbling interaction, instead of complaining or reporting him, he said the man deserved a "tip and 10 stars," and his fans agreed.
