One of Mzansi's most-recognised faces on the small screens has gone MIA, and fans are desperate to know her whereabouts.

Chichi Letswalo took time off from acting, but it seems as though she has extended her hiatus. Leaving many fans curious whether she went into retirement or not.

The 44-year-old rose to fame due to her roles on Generations and Backstage. She also had acting stints on Isithembiso and Lingashoni. According to TshisaLIVE, Chichi went to live in America to study arts in New York City.

Chichi opens up about depression

In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Chichi opened up about being depressed after she left her acting job.

"I was so depressed. I went through a two-year depression because, when I am not doing this (acting), I do get sad. And so, I'm not even going to lie. If I am not doing what I love, I get sad," Chichi opened up.
"I used to stress about plans and my career, like, intensely, but now I am a different person. Now I'm like, whatever the universe brings (I'll accept). All I ask for is that I am happy, paid well, and to do things that give me joy and growth as an artist. I love being surprised by the universe and by God."
