South Africa Reacts to MacG and Sol Phenduka Recording in China: “Be Very Careful”

He Nda! The Podcast and Chill crew are heading to China to record the podcast’s first-ever episode in the Asian country. The announcement sparked various reactions, with some warning MacG and the Podcast and Chill crew.

Podcast and Chill with MacG continues to grow in leaps and bounds since its launch in July 2018. The podcast has become an influential voice not only in South Africa but beyond its borders. Podcast and Chill announced that it is heading to China for the first time, and fans warned MacG, Sol Phenduka, Ghost Lady and other behind-the-scenes crew to take extra caution.

MacG and Sol Phenduka take Podcast and Chill to China

On Friday, 5 September 2025, Podcast and Chill took to X and shared that MacG and his co-hosts will be in China to record a special episode on 2 October 2025 at La Burg in Shanghai. The announcement read:

“He Nda Ladies and Gentlemen, we are going to China ✈️ Get your Gucci on as we will be rocking La Burg Shanghai on the 2nd of October 2025 📍It’s about to be an epic moment.”

After recording the episode, attendees will be entertained by Sol Phenduka and MacG. Early bird tickets cost 250 Chinese Yuan, which is approximately R615 at the time of writing. At the door, one would have to part with 380 Chinese Yuan, about R935.

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that MacG announced the introduction of a new show which is an addition to his Podcast And Chill Network.
