Sources close to the couple shared with the publication that the TV personality has accused her husband of adultery, emotional, and psychological abuse.
Briefly News journalist Jessica Gcaba spoke to relationship expert and psychologist Paula Quinsee, who shed light on some of the psychological abuse symptoms that can arise in a relationship.
"There are few signs to look out for during the early stages of psychological abuse. Controlling behaviour, always putting you down by either insulting you or speaking negatively, watching your every move, who you speak to, follow or engage with, and trying to make you unreachable to family or loved ones and sometimes never wanting to be held accountable for their actions can point to abuse."
The social media channel @SANewzNetwork shared on its X account on Sunday, September 7, 2025, that the couple's marriage is on the verge of collapse.
Briefly News contacted Mrs Shoba on Sunday, 7 September 2025, for a comment, but she was unavailable at the time of publishing this article.

@Pinkdoll_love replied:
"Honestly, I think this was a strong and healthy decision. It’s never an easy choice after 11 years, but staying after discovering cheating would’ve been draining. Leaving shows she values her self-respect and well-being. Sometimes walking away is the smartest move."

Phumeza Shoba gets emotionally involved
In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that the host of Enough Is Enough, Phumeza Shoba, was praised by some of her fans, while others claimed she was too emotionally involved during the latest episode.
The presenter dealt with a case of a mother and daughter who have been at loggerheads for a long time, but the daughter did not want to share her side of the story.
She tried by all means to get the daughter to speak, but some people felt that she picked the mother's side and did not give the daughter a chance to share why she was not on good terms with her mom.
