South African media personality Nonkanyiso 'LaConco' Conco has added voice-over actress to her extensive resume. Taking to Instagram recently, LaConco announced that she bagged an exciting role in the isiZulu adaptation of Bluey.

The former The Real Housewives of Durban reality TV star has officially bagged her second acting gig. LaConco made her acting debut on Mzansi Magic's Genesis.

This time, she will be putting her voice acting skills to the test as she portrays the role of Bluey's mother, Chilli Heeler.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, 6 September 2025, LaConco expressed her gratitude, saying she had the best time in the studio.

"I'm honoured to have stepped into the world of voice acting with BBC studios, lending my voice to dabbing Chilli (Bluey’s mum) in IsiZulu. This has been an incredible experience I never imagined. My heart is full, glory to God, I am humbled."

On how she relates to her character, LaConco stated that she and Chilli are similar because they are both loving mothers.

"Chilli and I share so much in common. [She is a] loving, supportive mother who stays in her own lane. I especially admire how she values her children for who they are, without comparing them to others."

The businesswoman is confident that other Zulu-speaking moms will appreciate this role.

"To all Zulu-speaking mums, abantu benu bazolithokozela loluhlelo! (I am confident that your little ones will love this show.) Sakha got to spend time with me in the studio while I was recording, and he was absolutely entertained. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing team I worked with on this project. As soon as I know when it will air, I will let you know, mnge."
