South African record producer Tyler ICU addressed the tension between producers Tebogo G Mashego and DJ Maphorisa, adding his view on the matter.
The Mnike hitmaker commented on Mashego's public accusations, which targeted Porry for alleged exploitation on Biri Marung.
Taking to his Instagram page on 22 September 2025, Tyler called Mashego to order, saying his approach to addressing Maphorisa with insults would have dire consequences on his career:
"The older people around him should have taught him how these things work. Because right now, you're insulting Porry, do you know how many people you're going to offend? People are now addressing the fact that you're being disrespectful to elders. "

Sure, you want what is due to you, but be respectful; that man is an elder to you. You can't just throw your tongue around just because you're angry."
Tyler suspects that Mashego's friends were misinforming him:
"A lot of things are not adding up, and I feel as though his friends are influencing him. He got himself in a situation where anything is a reality to him. Like, whatever anyone says to him, he believes it as fact."

This follows the allegations from Mashego that he did not receive royalties for producing the hit song Biri Marung despite its global success, as well as claims that people tied to Porry were part of the Illuminati.
He accused Porry of exploiting him, dragging him to hell and back on social media, and claiming that he was entitled to millions for the part he played in Biri Marung's success.
Reactions to Tyler's video were polarised, with some people agreeing with his suggested approach while others said Mashego's approach was justified.
However, many online critics questioned the growing number of artists stepping up to defend Porry in the whole mess.
