Controversial social media blogger Musa Khawula has been declared a wanted man after reportedly skipping court for his 2022 murder case.

Khawula previously made headlines when a witness testified that the blogger dodged an arrest.

Entertainment news channel MDN TV LIVE revealed on its Instagram account on Thursday, 2 April 2026, that the blogger is wanted.

The channel reveals that the NPA has confirmed a warrant of arrest for the controversial social media personality in a 2022 murder case.

"The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Western Cape has confirmed that social media influencer Musawenkosi “Musa” Khawula remains at large, with an active warrant of arrest issued in a high-profile 2022 murder case. According to official correspondence from the Director of Public Prosecutions, dated 6 March 2026, in response to an inquiry, Khawula faces charges in the Vredenburg Magistrates’ Court (CAS 35/03/2022) for the alleged murder of his former boyfriend, Wandile Khambule," adds the channel.

The NPA has alerted the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Vredenburg, which is conducting active tracing efforts to arrest Khawula and bring him before court.

Musa Khawula accused of lying about Madlanga Commission invite by Julius Malema’s lawyers

In more entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that controversial blogger Musa Khawula was accused of misleading his followers about being contacted by the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.

On 24 February 2026, Khawula previously shared a screenshot of a text message claiming he had been invited to testify before the commission.

Khawula's alleged deceit was exposed by Julius Malema's lawyers in papers filed at the Johannesburg High Court.
