Matshidiso Matilda, who became a controversial public figure after a bedroom video with Limpopo Boy surfaced online, has finally addressed the state of her marriage — and she wants people to hold back their judgement.

In a Facebook post shared on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, Matilda took aim at critics who had been quick to condemn her behaviour without knowing the full picture.

"You People Are So Quick To Judge, Yet You Don't Know What I Was Going Through In That Marriage. You Don't Know The Reasons Why I Was Drowning In Alcohol 💔💔," she wrote, in what appeared to be a deeply personal admission about her life with husband Kevin Shai.

"Tell your husband that I'm waiting for him. He is my soulmate"

"So you started drinking alcohol after marriage??🤔"

"You were in alcohol b4 marriage; don't come with excuses here, social media don't forget. It even shows da dates. We can show you a lot of videos of u in da clubs drinking alcohol"

Who is Matshidiso Matilda?

Matshidiso Matilda's name became widely known after a video of her and social media personality Limpopo Boy leaked online, exposing an adulterous relationship, as reported by Briefly News. The scandal sparked widespread condemnation, largely directed at her, given that she was a married woman at the time.

Her latest post suggests she has been carrying significant personal pain that she felt the public was not privy to. While she stopped short of elaborating on the specific nature of her marital problems, the reference to "drowning in alcohol" pointed to a serious period of personal struggle. The post has done little to soften public opinion, with the majority of commenters urging her to take accountability rather than seek sympathy.
