What Did Ndlozi Say?

During his address, Ndlozi argued that the proliferation of political parties in the Black community has fragmented African voters beyond repair, comparing the division to conditions that predate even the formation of the ANC in 1912. He described the situation as an "age of egocentricism with the greatest propositions of emptiness," accusing political leaders of having no credible vision for the future.

"I don't even know me if I'm going to vote. I don't know," he told the audience, a statement that drew immediate attention once the clip circulated online.

Sizwe Hits Back at Ndlozi

While Dhlomo acknowledged that Ndlozi was "well within his right to say that," he took issue with the framing of the argument. His key criticism was that Ndlozi himself was once embedded in the very political structures he is now condemning. "What he shouldn't be doing, however, is talking as if he himself wasn't part of what he is now criticising," Dhlomo said.
