Prison officials have pushed back against reports that music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was beaten by fellow inmate Christopher "Dudus" Coke last weekend, insisting no such fight took place. Despite the denial, authorities have refused to explain how Diddy ended up in hospital with a head injury, leaving the public with more questions than answers.

According to TMZ, the U.S. Marshals Service has confirmed that Diddy did not sustain injuries from an altercation, but offered no further explanation about the nature or cause of the rapper's hospitalisation. The lack of transparency quickly set social media alight.

Dudus' sentence adds to the mystery

Much of the scepticism online has centred on reports that Dudus, the Jamaican crime lord serving time in the same federal facility, reportedly had his release date pushed back by an additional year around the same time the alleged fight was said to have occurred. Many users found it difficult to reconcile the official denial with that development, questioning why both men's circumstances would change if nothing had happened.

Reports claimed Diddy was allegedly injured in prison

Sean 'Diddy' Combs reportedly sustained a serious head injury during a confrontation with fellow inmate Christopher 'Dudus' Coke at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution.

The alleged fight was linked to inmate anger over reports of Diddy's supposed privileges behind bars, which triggered raids and phone confiscations.
