A feud between two of South Africa's most talked-about women in entertainment has spilt beyond the drama and into a full-blown beauty debate on X, with fans taking sides over who holds the superior face card.
The tension between DJ Cyan Boujee and singer MaWhoo reportedly centres on a shared romantic interest. MaWhoo posted a photo on her WhatsApp stories featuring herself alongside a man, captioned simply "My happiness." The post set social media alight, with netizens pointing to Kagiso Lerutla, the former Ekurhuleni CFO and current City Manager who has previously been linked to prominent women, as the man pictured. This remains an allegation.
With the two artists seemingly in the thick of a rivalry, X users wasted no time shifting from the gossip to something arguably even more contested: who looks better?
The great face card debate
The comparison kicked off when @RealSihleIV posed the question, "Who has the craziest face card, Mawhoo or Cyan?" Verified X user @visse_ss quickly responded with a decisive take: "MaWhoo clears Cyan Boujee."

That single statement was all it took to split the timeline.
Some users were firmly in Cyan's corner, with @BadGudy declaring, "Cyan's number 1 face card," while @Nina_Fox_ went further: "No one tops Cyan in the industry. We can throw tantrums and go wild, but it's a fact." @presh_rabbit kept it short: "Cyan obviously."
Not everyone was so quick to hand the crown to either artist, though. @KeisoKgosi offered a more measured take, writing, "Mawhoo body is natural while Cyan is fake.... But facecard ya cyan is lethal so I'd say they both good looking." @kyriim0 found the debate unnecessary altogether: "You guys are crazy, these people are the same person in different fonts."
Peeps refuse to agree
@ThaaBLaa pushed back on the MaWhoo camp, saying simply,
