“I Keep Testing My Ancestors”: Man Shows Damaged Plane on Local Airline

  • A man at Braam Fischer International Airport in Bloemfontein joked that he was testing his ancestors when he boarded an airplane that looked as if it were falling apart

A young man who thought he was risking his life on a return flight was surprised to see the airplane he travelled in looked as if it were falling apart. After not mentioning the name of the airline, many internet users felt they knew which one it was and hoped to avoid it.

On 24 July, TikTok user @langu_tani gave the online community a glimpse of the battered airplane he travelled on on his account. While the aircraft seemed to have a dent on the outside, the inside showed foam-exposed seats and damaged overhead bins.

The man, who was at Braam Fischer International Airport in Bloemfontein, jokingly said:

"I keep testing my ancestors."

Damaged airplane stuns SA

While the man did not share flight details or the airline he travelled with, many speculated that it was CemAir, which seems to have a bad reputations among air travellers.

The man confirmed it was CemAir in the comment section of another TikTok video.

With FlySafair pilots being on strike, many travellers are forced to use other airlines to reach their local destinations.
