The engaging footage was shared on TikTok by @inkosiyamahawu and garnered many comments, likes, and views, indicating its widespread appeal and the shared sentiments of viewers.

The video captured a Zulu man respectfully bending to wash an ihawu, a traditional animal skin shield. These shields were historically used by Zulu warriors during the great battles fought to defend their land many years ago. Written upon this particular shield were the words 'General Mkhwanazi.' As the man performed this symbolic act, the person filming questioned him, prompting a passionate and detailed tribute to General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. The man praised the general as a truly fearless individual in Mzansi. He said he was someone unafraid to confront anyone who acts against the law, regardless of their social standing or rank.

He proudly proclaimed that the general was the esteemed head of the Mkhwanazi clan. To emphasise the general's formidable reputation, he recalled an instance where a parliamentary woman, upon exclaiming 'Mkhwanazi is coming,' caused a noticeable stir among those present. The speaker argued that Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi rightfully deserved the position of national commissioner. He boldly stated that if the current president did not appoint him to that role, he would appoint himself as president just to make that crucial appointment, as only the president holds such power.
