What happened to Zinhle Mabena?
It seems as if 2021 may have been a rough year for the media personality, who played the role of Sihle in Isibaya. On 16 February, 2021, Zinhle was reportedly arrested and detained at the Olievenhoutbosch police station. She was charged with attempted murder of her now ex-husband, Robert Ngwenya. The businessman suffered an attack, which ended the life of his bodyguard.

However, prosecutors dropped the charges against her due to a lack of evidence, citing the arrest as unlawful. Joshua Lazarus of Shapiro & Ledwaba Inc alleged at the time that the allegations against the star came from Robert, whom she was divorcing.
Following the dismissal of Zinhle's case, a warrant of arrest was then sent out for Robert, who allegedly violated the protection order against him by his ex-wife.
Shani van Niekerk, who served as Robert's legal representation, denied the violation and said that her client indicated no members of the South African Police Service visited his home or made contact with him.
Since then, Zinhle has kept a low profile, rarely making news. However, her last post on her Instagram account was on 29 May, 2025, where she shared pictures of her elegant self, captioning the post:
"Let the magic begin."
