The clip shows the man sitting in the back seat of a parked car with his window rolled down, seemingly relaxed and unaware of what was about to happen. Moments later, a large snake is seen climbing up toward the open window, slithering its way to eye level.

As soon as the man noticed the reptile, panic set in. Without hesitation, he flung the car door open and leapt out with a loud scream, nearly hurting himself in the process. His dramatic escape had online users laughing uncontrollably, especially as the snake did not appear aggressive. Instead, the reptile simply remained at the window, seemingly observing the chaos it had unintentionally caused.

Still, the video’s comedic element outweighed its tension, with many South Africans agreeing it was one of the funniest reactions they had seen in recent weeks since it was published by a Facebook user named Stamina Shorwebwenzi on 19 September 2025.

The clip has since gained thousands of views, proving once again that in Mzansi, even a terrifying run-in with wildlife can turn into a moment of pure comedy. For the man involved, however, it is unlikely he will be sitting near an open window anytime soon.
