South African entertainer Bouwer Bosch has the internet in stitches with his latest parody skit, which aims at Airlink's jaw-dropping flyover at Cape Town's DHL Stadium during the Springboks vs All Blacks match.

In the clip posted to his TikTok account @bouwerbosch, Bosch plays a fictional pilot dressed in full uniform and aviators, breathlessly reporting back to his unseen captain about how their bold low-altitude pass put Airlink, Cape Town, and the stadium on the global map.

When the matter of flying just twelve metres above the crowd comes up, the character waves it off with a straight face, insisting that in aviation terms twelve metres is practically five kilometres.

Pilot has bigger plans for next match

Not content to rest on past glory, the fictional pilot launches into a string of increasingly unhinged proposals for the next flight. He suggests tilting the plane sideways to thread it through the rugby goalposts, or slowing down just enough to wind down the cockpit window and high-five mascot Rassie Erasmus on the stadium roof. Safety concerns, he reasons, should never be driven by newspaper articles.
