What is the monthly cost of a BMW M4?
To own one without stretching yourself thin, Talha Docrat recommends a gross monthly income of at least R80,000 to R100,000. Someone earning R50,000 to R60,000 might qualify on paper, but qualifying and comfortably affording are, as he put it, two very different things

On a 72-month finance term with a 10% deposit of roughly R157,700, a 35% balloon payment and an interest rate of around 10.75%, the monthly repayment lands between R21,000 and R25,000. But that is only the beginning.
Talha estimates comprehensive insurance costs between R4,200 and R5,300 per month depending on age, location and parking situation, and the bill grows. Fuel adds another R2,500 to R4,000.
