Four men stopped on a Cape Town highway on 12 September 2026 to pull people to safety. An ambulance overturned in a collision, and the moment was caught on dashcam and bystander footage.

The footage, shared by Facebook user Ezitshisayo, shows the chaotic scene on the highway shortly after the crash. The ambulance had flipped onto its side, leaving those inside trapped and disoriented. While other motorists drove past, the four men pulled over and rushed to the vehicle to help.
The men worked quickly to get the ambulance crew and any passengers out of the overturned vehicle, reassuring them as they helped one by one. At several points, voices in the background could be heard expressing disbelief at the sight of an ambulance, of all vehicles, involved in an accident. Heroes were allegedly Zimbabwean
On-screen text overlaid on the video by Ezitshisayo identified the men as Zimbabwean nationals, accompanied by both the Zimbabwean and South African flag emojis. In the clip, the men can be heard calling out to those inside, asking if they are okay and guiding them to safety while urging them not to move until they were properly assisted.
