In a Facebook post, the school described Sasasa as a popular, beloved leader whose warmth and presence left a lasting impression on everyone around her. She was known for her passion for music and sport, and for her wisdom and maturity. The school wrote:

"Her bright spirit and kindness touched the lives of all her classmates, teachers, and the wider GHS family. She brought joy, laughter, and inspiration to all who knew her."

The school extended its condolences to Sasasa's family, friends, and the entire community during what it described as an incredibly difficult time. The outpouring of grief extended beyond the Girls' High gates. Neighbouring schools stepped forward to offer their solidarity.
