A South African travel creator has reminded passport holders at home that their green booklet opens the door to some of the world's most stunning islands. TikToker @ladysiza1 shared the tip on 24 September 2026, and it quickly got people dreaming of turquoise waters and white-sand beaches.

In the video, she listed 10 Caribbean destinations that South Africans can visit without applying for a visa in advance: Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. She noted, however, that Saint Kitts and Nevis may require an electronic travel authorisation before entry, bringing the fully visa-free tally to nine.

She closed with an important reminder:

According to the Henley Passport Index, South Africans can travel to the following Caribbean destinations without a visa: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
