Two South African women have come forward with a deeply disturbing account of being detained against their will after a night out at Okio Club in Sandton on Saturday, 4 October 2026. Their story, shared in a video posted to Facebook, has gripped thousands of people across the country.
The pair recall arriving at the venue around 2 a.m. and had barely been inside for three minutes when a man flanked by four bodyguards grabbed them and pulled them into a private section called Bellucci Lounge at the back of the club. The women say the man told his bodyguards to make sure they did not leave, and that club bouncers reinforced this, blocking them from returning to the main area or visiting the bathroom unaccompanied.
Once the club closed, the women were escorted out of the building by staff and forced into the man's car. He then produced a firearm, loaded two bullets in front of them, and warned them he did not miss. Fearing for their lives, the women say they had no choice but to comply.
From Sandton to Centurion
The man drove them from Sandton to an estate called Blue Valley, near Centurion. At his house, every door was locked. The women said he attempted to separate them into different rooms and made repeated sexual advances, while also pressuring them to drink alcohol that was poured exclusively by a third man who arrived later. They refused all food, water, and drinks throughout the ordeal.

One of the women pretended to feel ill to slip away and search for an exit. The only one they found was a window. They jumped out and fled to the estate's security guards, only to be met with further resistance. The guards confiscated their phones and attempted to take their bags before eventually calling backup, which returned them to the man's house. The women ultimately managed to leave and have since opened a formal case at SAPS Sandton.
Pastor Curt van Heerden, who has been assisting the women, was the person who documented and shared their testimony on social media. He noted publicly that the women were smart enough to secretly photograph the man, his number plates, and his security detail while in the car.
Okio released a formal statement confirming that two women had laid a complaint with police regarding the conduct of a patron. The venue said it had preserved all CCTV footage from that night and handed the unedited recordings to SAPS Sandton. It also committed to commissioning an independent review of its security arrangements. Van Heerden stated clearly:
"It's not the club."
