“Leadership Is Proud of You”: Woman Scores Free Taxi Ride Posing As ANC Member in Viral TikTok Video

  • South Africans flooded the comment section with their own confessions, admitting they had pulled off remarkably similar money-saving stunts
  • Tshili sang among the ANC passengers, matched their energy perfectly throughout the journey, and stepped off completely undetected and R80 richer

South Africans have always been resourceful when money runs dangerously short each month. One young woman took that creativity to a completely new level recently.

She blended into a taxi full of ANC supporters without raising any suspicion. She played the part perfectly and rode all the way. Not a single cent of the R80 fare ever left her pocket.

Nhlanhla Tshili, a South African TikToker, pulled off the performance of the year. She boarded a taxi packed with ANC members travelling together on 6 April 2026. Tshili played along convincingly and acted like one of them the entire journey. She sat quietly, sang when they sang, and nodded when they nodded.

When blending in becomes a genuine art form

South Africa’s minibus taxi industry has always been far more than just transport. It is politics, community, culture, and commerce squeezed into a 15-seater vehicle. The ANC has deep roots in how ordinary South Africans move through their daily lives. Political gatherings often come with arrangements that cover transport for members and supporters. So when a taxi full of ANC grannies rolls through, nobody checks ID cards. Tshili understood the assignment completely and executed it flawlessly.

Her TikTok clip, posted under the handle @princessslay21 on 6 April 2026, exploded immediately. South Africans watched the video in complete and utter disbelief at her boldness. The comment section transformed into a national confession booth overnight.
