Local twins popular on social media left viewers in stitches after their hilarious request to their mom made it to the video streaming platform.

The clip, shared by TikTok user @namso_smile, garnered 1M views, 71K likes, and 3.1K comments from social media users who found their content hilarious.

The video starts with the twin girls walking on a long road in their village, accompanied by their mom, who is filming. The girls kindly ask their mom to buy a car. Shocked by their request, the mom asks them to repeat what they are saying, and they boldly do, adding that it would be nice for her to go to town in her own car.

When a car is a necessity and not a need

One of the twins goes on to tell her mom that even a truck or those used to plant crops in villages and farms would be good, as long as she has something moving that she can drive to town. To convince her mom, one of the twins calls her by her clan name, Masukude, which warms the mom’s heart to the request.

The viral video entertained many social media users who were amused by the twins’ bold and funny antics. Many users said they would never be bored with the twins around, and reminded the mom how blessed she was to have them.

Some were touched that the twins called their mom by her clan name, saying they had old souls. Others added a bit of humour, calling the twins too young to be Xhosa, jokingly insinuating that Xhosa people love the finer things.
