A co-parenting dispute

She added that the man got her pregnant and promised to take care of her and their daughter, but they had since had a rollercoaster co-parenting relationship with him. In response, the man shared screenshots of a monthly R4,000 payment made to an account saved as Palesa Twala.

The screenshots showed a total of R30,750, dating from February to August 2025, proving that he was indeed a responsible father. The man's proof of payment put an end to the woman's public accusation and led to a massive online conversation.

Some were curious why she deleted the posts if she was sincere and why she locked her account afterwards. Others cautioned internet users not to quickly believe negative things said about baby daddies, suggesting their exes might be bitter after their breakup

User @GodPenuel said:

"Women who are angry or broken after a breakup should never be allowed to make decisions about a child without a qualified and impartial 3rd party validating that decision. Their mental state is normally unwell and not healthy for the child. Society turns a blind eye to this."

User @SithaleKgaogelo shared:

"If she pops out her R4k, it’s clean R8k."

User @DeeCover611 commented:

"Well done, and keep taking care of your child."

User @JoziGunner asked:

"Hey, guys. I'm having the same issue. I'm a single dad. I earn R9k a month, and my baby mama is threatening me for R6k in child support, or she’s going to the police. Can anyone please advise me? It’s not fair."
