A Somerset farmer did not let her wedding day come between her and her cows. The bride, who tied the knot in Somerset in the west of England on 10 August 2026, arrived at her outdoor ceremony riding her Brown Swiss cow rather than on horseback or in a traditional carriage.
The cow at the centre of it all is five and a half years old and, according to the bride, "pretty much my best friend." Her logic was simple: people ride horses to weddings all the time, so why should riding a cow be any different?
The footage, captured by the BBC at the village event, showed the celebration taking place on a rural street before moving to a farm pathway surrounded by open fields. The whole affair had a lighthearted, countryside charm that matched the bride's personality perfectly.
